For the first time, Alaska FFA is proud to welcome a team of summer interns! This exciting step is part of our ongoing efforts to strengthen agricultural education and expand support for FFA chapters across the state. Thanks to the USDA NextGen Program, we’ve been able to bring on three dedicated individuals who are contributing to meaningful projects, from day-to-day operations to helping plan events, that will leave a lasting impact. Meet Emily, Teak, and Amber, three passionate interns helping shape the future of Alaska FFA.

Hi! My name is Emily Faulkner, and I’m one of three interns working with the Alaska FFA Foundation this summer. I’m currently an active member of FFA and serve as a state officer for Alaska FFA. I’m excited for the opportunity to support agricultural education across our state by helping develop resources for teachers, working at the fair, and pitching in wherever I can to help grow and strengthen Alaska FFA.

Hello! My name is Teak Barhaug, and I am proud to be supporting the Alaska FFA Foundation as an intern this summer, thanks to the USDA NextGen Program. I served as an Alaska FFA state officer for two years, have volunteered at the state convention in the two years since, and am excited to continue my involvement with FFA. This summer, I will be working to expand our Foundation’s support network, helping to run FFA events at the state fair, and beginning preparations for the 50th Alaska FFA State Convention!

Hi! I'm Amber Bratlie, one of the three interns working with the Alaska FFA Foundation this summer! This is my first year working with FFA, and I am excited to get started! I will be developing and distributing newsletters, managing social media content, and assisting in the creation of materials for competitive events.
We’re excited to have Emily, Teak, and Amber on board this summer and look forward to seeing all they accomplish. Their work is already making a difference, and we’re grateful to the USDA NextGen Program for making this opportunity possible. Be sure to follow along as they share updates and stories from their internship experience throughout the season!
