Arctic Winter Games - March 10-16, 2024 in Mat-Su Valley. A biennial multi-sport and cultural event highlighting communities from areas of Alaska, Canada, Scandinavia, and Russia. 


AmeriCorps - America's national service program. Perfect for recent grads who are looking to gain new experiences and build resumes. 

Peace Corps - America's International service program. Ideal for college students or recent grads looking for international service experience. 

AgriCorps - International Service program for work specific to agriculture around the world.  Great for recent college grads!

Student Conservation Association - Hands-on environmental conservation experience for current high-schoolers and recent high school grads. 


National FFA Scholarships

National FFA SAE GrantsLooking to expand you SAE, but need some help? Check out these grants! Closing Nov. 15th, 2023.

Farm Service Agency Youth Loans - Loans to finance income-producing agricultural projects in connection with FFA, 4-H, and tribal youth programs.  

Alaska State Fair Youth Scholarship - This scholarship is open statewide to students. There are 5 total scholarships!

Bill Stolze ScholarshipA scholarship for high school seniors going to college or technical school in an agriculture-related pathway.

Bruce Willard Scholarship - A scholarship through the Alaska Farm Bureau for students pursuing careers in agricultural or natural resources fields through college, trade school, or vocational training. 

Northland Pioneer Grange Scholarship - A scholarship through the Northland Pioneer Grange for students of the Mat-Su Valley & Chugiak graduating in the spring of 2024 interested in pursuing a degree in Agriculture, Food and Natural Resource areas. Click here for more information. 

AgWest Championing Ag Scholarships - Scholarships awarded to students enrolled in a university, college, or vocational program with a desired career path directly tied to serving the agriculture industry. Scholarships are $2,500. Applications are due March 1, 2024. 

Alaska FFA Washington Leadership Scholarship - in partnership with AgWest, this $2,500 scholarship is awarded to one FFA member in their sophomore or junior year of high school to cover expenses to attend WLC in Washington D.C. in the summer of 2024. Applications are due April 5th.
